Qur'an 43:8
فَأَهْلَكْنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
“And We destroyed greater than them in [striking] power, and the example of the former peoples has preceded.”
